Refrigeration Mechanic | Remote Villages Ex Townsville | 2/1 Fifo

About the Role

Sodexo is hiring a full time Refrigeration Mechanic for its Facilities Maintenance team, which looks after remote accommodation villages and mining sites. The role is FIFO on a 2/1 roster with 11 hour days, flying out of Townsville. Sodexo asks that candidates live in Townsville already or are willing to relocate there at their own cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing on commercial and domestic air conditioning and refrigeration equipment


• Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs


• Complete compliance inspections


• Keep maintenance records and work orders up to date


• Work as part of a facilities team supporting remote village and mine site clients

About You

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration


• An ARCtick refrigerant handling licence


• A QBCC licence, or the ability to obtain one


• Current CPR and LVR, plus a restricted electrical licence


• An Australian driver's licence and full Australian work rights


• Willingness to complete a police check, pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
