Heavy Diesel Fitter | Dingo Range Near Laverton | 2/1 Or 2/2 Fifo

About the Role

MACA is looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters for the Dingo Range Gold Project in Western Australia's North Laverton region, a greenfield gold development for Emerald Resources. The roster is 2/1 or 2/2, FIFO from Perth. MACA is also after HD Fitters who specialise in diggers. The site fleet includes Komatsu 785-7 and HD1500 trucks, Komatsu PC1250 and Liebherr 9200 and 9300 diggers, CAT D9 and D10 dozers, graders, water carts and Epiroc T45 drills.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduled preventative maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment


• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults


• Planned servicing, inspections and condition monitoring


• Respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment failures


• Use diagnostic tools and manufacturer data for fault finding


• Take part in pre-starts, toolbox talks and maintenance planning

About You

• An Australian recognised trade certificate


• An HR driver's licence is preferred


• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across a range of fleets


• Open pit mining experience


• Good communication and the ability to work on your own


• A can-do approach to work and safety
