DR Checker for Job Boards

Domain Rating (DR) is an Ahrefs metric from 0 to 100 that estimates the strength of a website's backlink profile. Higher DR usually means stronger link authority, but it should be reviewed together with traffic, relevance, and content quality.

Website authority (or job board authority) is a general way to describe how strong and trusted a site appears to search engines, usually based on backlinks, referring domains, and link quality. Metrics like DR are proxies for this concept, but they are not direct Google ranking factors on their own.

Ahrefs estimates DR by looking at followed links between domains and passing "link equity" from one site to another. In simple terms: stronger referring domains pass more value, but that value is diluted when they link to many different sites. Only the first followed link from each domain counts toward DR, and DR is a link-based metric (it does not directly use traffic, brand popularity, or domain age).

Focus on earning high-quality followed backlinks from relevant websites, industry publications, partners, and trusted directories. Create link-worthy content (salary reports, hiring data, niche guides), improve PR/outreach, and avoid spammy link schemes. DR usually grows over time as your referring domains become stronger and more relevant.
