Supervisor Security And Emergency | Mining Area C, Pilbara | 8/6 And 7/7 Fifo

About the Role

BHP is hiring a Security and Emergency Management Supervisor for its Mining Area C hub in the Central Pilbara. This is a permanent position, flying in and out of Perth on an 8/6 and 7/7 roster. You will report to the Superintendent SEM and work alongside a back-to-back supervisor, leading the site team that handles medical treatment, fire and rescue, and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the site's emergency services professionals


• Keep an effective emergency response capability in place for the site, in line with BHP's emergency management procedures


• Plan training scenarios with site management and test response readiness against the site's risks


• Act as on-scene incident commander during emergencies


• Oversee clinical treatment standards, drug management and the inspection of critical response equipment


• Support the site Incident Management Team and work with mutual aid partners

About You

• Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue or equivalent is an advantage


• Certificate IV in Health Care or tertiary medical qualifications are an advantage


• An HR truck licence, emergency vehicle experience or 4WD training is well regarded


• Supervisory experience in emergency services, or a strong emergency professional ready to step up


• A current C class driver's licence and a willingness to obtain BHP's Appointed Supervisor requirements


• Pre-employment checks may include medical, drug and alcohol testing, police clearance and right to work
