Senior Geotechnical Engineer | Kathleen Valley Near Leinster | 8/6 Fifo

About the Role

Liontown Resources is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Underground Technical Services team at its Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation, near Leinster in Western Australia. The role is site based on an 8/6 FIFO roster. You will lead geotechnical risk management for the underground mine and act as the go-to technical voice on ground control.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead underground geotechnical risk management and hazard reporting


• Own and maintain the site's ground control standards


• Run geotechnical monitoring systems from design through to reporting


• Carry out numerical and stability modelling using tools such as FLAC3D, Map3D and Deswik


• Provide geotechnical input to short and medium term mine plans


• Mentor and develop junior geotechnical engineers

About You

• Degree in geotechnical, mining or civil engineering, or engineering geology


• 7+ years of geotechnical experience, with significant underground hard rock exposure


• Strong numerical modelling skills


• National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months


• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen


• C class driver's licence
