About the Role
Regis Resources wants an experienced Resource Development Field Assistant for its Duketon gold operation near Laverton in Western Australia. The permanent full-time role is FIFO on an 8:6 roster from Perth. You will support the resource development and exploration team across drill site preparation, sampling and core processing, helping the company find and grow resources and reserves. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare drill sites so they suit the planned drilling and meet safety and operating rules
- Set out drill hole collars with GPS and compass and line rigs up to the design
- Sample drill chips and diamond core to the company's QA/QC standards
- Orient, mark up, cut and sample diamond core
- Enter field data accurately in LogChief and make sure samples leave site correctly
- Keep UHF radios, satellite phones and tracking devices ready to use
- Inspect work areas and equipment for hazards or damage and fix what you find
About You
- Experience across mineral exploration, including working with drilling and earthmoving contractors
- Comfortable with data entry and Excel
- A current WA class C manual driver's licence
- A current Senior or Perform First Aid certificate is preferred
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to working safely
- The right to live and work in Australia
