Job Description

Role

Automation Engineer, Agentic Orchestration โ€” design, build, and operate autonomous AI agent systems that connect LLMs and agent frameworks to enterprise systems (CRMs, ERPs, databases) to automate complex, non-repetitive business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of AI agent development: design, prototyping, testing, deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Ensure security, scalability, reliability, and performance tuning of agentic systems in production.
  • Design and implement integrations and connectors (APIs, middleware) between AI agents and enterprise systems.
  • Build and configure agents for tasks like natural language understanding, data extraction, decision-making, and multi-system interactions.
  • Develop evaluation and quality-control systems for continuous improvement of agent behavior.
  • Mentor system administrators and junior developers working on AI agent configuration and deployment.
  • Continuously research and evaluate new AI technologies and tools to drive automation innovation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience with AI services and LLM APIs from major providers (examples: OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock).
  • Hands-on experience with LLM tooling and associated AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of NLP, large language models, embeddings, vector databases, RAG systems, and knowledge graphs.
  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms (examples: Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi); familiarity with RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries (examples: LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Strong understanding of API design principles (REST, RPC, SSE, GraphQL) and data formats (JSON, XML).
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
  • Experience in business process analysis and re-engineering, and strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation

  • Canada base salary band: $140,000โ€”$192,500 CAD
