RN Informatics Specialist – IT Training and Informatics

Job Description:

• Coordinate and complete application projects
• Identify and coordinate improvement opportunities, enhancements, and redesign to accomplish greater efficiency
• Provide advanced-level support and support other analysts as needed
• Perform application implementation through analysis, design, testing, and evaluation
• Collaborate with clinical operations staff and department leaders to identify and prioritize areas of need
• Perform or participate in systems workflow analysis and evaluation to facilitate process re-engineering
• Participate in process design and development for new applications and enhancements to existing systems
• Develop system test plans, create test data, and evaluate results with user departments and others
• Evaluate, test, and present models with design alternatives to meet department workflow requirements
• Promote technology to enhance patient care through education, role modeling, quality improvement, and program development
• Provide operational ITS systems support and troubleshoot applications
• Provide troubleshooting and engage appropriate resources to resolve problems
• Provide consultative services to users and the implementation team regarding workflow impacts

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required
• Bachelor’s degree is Required
• Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Vendor required certification in good standing (or proficiency if vendor accepts) for applications/modules employee is assigned to support
• If not currently certified (or proficient), employee will have 6 months from their DOH (Date of Hire) or DOT (Date of Transfer) into a position that requires certification (proficiency)
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
• Ability to work the 8-5 work shift
