Job Description:

• Guide Wonderly's engineering organization
• Develop and shape the company's engineering strategy and roadmap for the AI-native era
• Define and evolve software development lifecycle practices in the age of AI
• Lead technical excellence across internal tools and production systems
• Advance Wonderly's enterprise-grade internal software factory
• Use internal tools as a semi-production environment to experiment with architectural and AI coding decisions
• Position the company to adopt emerging AI technologies while maintaining production quality
• Tie technology decisions to measurable business outcomes and customer revenue and profit
• Balance experimentation with operational excellence and customer safety

Requirements:

• Technologist at heart with a demonstrated passion for tinkering and building new projects
• Keeps up with technology and follows technology talks
• Explores new ways of building for the craft
• Able to work startup hours
• Experience guiding engineering organizations
• Deep understanding of engineering strategy
• Strong opinions about the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and how it changes in the age of AI
• Deeply practical approach to technology and business problems
• Ability to balance AI's transformative potential with the current limitations of AI-generated software
• Authorized to work in the US or Canada
