Virtual Fulfillment Tax Professional

Job Description:

• Understand clients' financial goals and identify potential tax savings
• Plan clients' financial futures and inform them about relevant H&R Block products and services
• Establish rapport and trust through empathy, active listening, and commitment to clients' financial well-being
• Conduct virtual tax interviews for retail and DIY online clients using video, phone, chat, and email
• Review and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses in compliance with IRS regulations and H&R Block standards
• Analyze IRS transcripts to identify missed prior-year filings or amendment opportunities
• Provide ethical and credible tax advice
• Handle sensitive information confidentially and with integrity
• Keep current with tax laws, tools, and technology
• Use H&R Block digital tools and platforms to streamline tax preparation and enhance client experience
• Share knowledge, support peers, and collaborate with staff to enhance client experience and achieve office goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Three years of tax preparation or review experience required
• Experience with IRS transcripts, amendments, and prior year return identification
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong virtual collaboration skills across digital platforms
• Strong knowledge of tax law and personal tax concepts
• Analytical skills to interpret, assess, and resolve routine and complex tax situations
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative team environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Internet speed of at least 15 Mbps
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
• Enrolled Agent, Attorney, or CPA designation preferred
