Vice President, Distinguished Engineer – Technology

Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive technical vision and strategic guidance at the highest levels of the Village
• Identify and champion emerging technologies that create competitive advantages
• Develop long-term technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
• Advise senior leadership, including the CTO, CIO, and IT Core Team
• Lead breakthrough innovation initiatives
• Conduct advanced research and development across multiple technology domains
• Develop a culture of technical innovation and continuous learning
• Establish and lead cross-functional innovation labs and research programs
• Define and influence overarching technical architecture and technology strategy
• Guide complex technical challenges and architectural decisions
• Design and validate advanced technical solutions for critical business needs
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and architectural approaches
• Represent the Village at industry conferences, technical symposiums, and academic forums
• Publish technical papers, research, and thought leadership content
• Build relationships with technology partners, academic institutions, and industry leaders
• Mentor and develop top technical talent
• Partner with IT PL&S on technical skill development programs
• Guide senior technical leadership and high-potential technical teammates
• Foster technical excellence and continuous improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned
