Staff Applied AI Engineer

Job Description:

• Build and ship production AI agents for Future’s Health Coach product
• Develop tool-calling LLMs, structured outputs, parallel API orchestration, and streaming AI features
• Support coach matching and clinical-leaning guidance for sleep, nutrition, and fitness
• Own the development loop from prototyping through Langfuse evaluations, deployment, trace monitoring, and iteration
• Improve reliability, latency, and cost through prompt caching, token budgets, retries, and observability
• Write agent tools and Pydantic-validated integrations in an EPD pod

Requirements:

• 4–10 years of experience
• Shipped LLM agents to production
• Strong big-tech background, ideally moved to startups or founded a company
• Python and async Python
• LangChain/LangGraph
• Pydantic
• Langfuse
• AWS/Bedrock
• Independent in a beta-stage environment
• US citizen or Green Card holder; visas are not supported
