Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

• Extend or rewrite an existing Elixir test harness for OpenStack endpoints
• Automate smoke tests in the developer pipeline
• Run comprehensive tests in parallel with ongoing development work
• Test different versions of microservices to identify bugs and defects introduced by changes
• Run tests against production-like environments to detect issues before customers find them
• Test CLI/TUI and GUI customer applications
• Architect and develop a rigorous integration test harness for multi-service, API-driven applications
• Maintain and extend the test harness for automated and manual test steps
• Collaborate with SMEs to determine feature-testing priorities
• Collaborate with SREs to integrate the test harness into appropriate CI/CD pipeline steps
• Collaborate with software engineers
• Document test cases to support user-facing documentation and FAQs
• Identify and close gaps in test coverage and delivery processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software testing experience
• Experience focused on cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and storage systems
• GCP experience preferred
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable automation code; Elixir preferred
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Kubernetes and Kustomize
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to deliver well-tested products
• Experience with LLM tools and frameworks is nice to have
