Senior Software Engineer, Certificate Management

Job Description:

• Lead the architecture and execution of critical cryptographic infrastructure
• Define multi-quarter technical strategies for novel cryptographic solutions
• Own ambitious initiatives and implement secure, resilient cryptographic protocols in a high-stakes, zero-trust environment
• Shape engineering quality practices as a technical anchor and mentor
• Drive rigorous code reviews and eliminate single points of failure
• Build alignment and secure commitment from cross-functional partners across Security, Product, and Policy
• Develop high-availability certificate management services for internal and external partners

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering building highly available, distributed systems
• Deep expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and applied cryptography
• Experience operating certificate authorities
• Experience automating X.509 certificate lifecycles, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and trust-chain distribution
• Experience protecting private key material with HSMs or cloud KMS
• Extensive programming experience in Golang, Java, C++, or Rust
• Ability to operate in a Golang-heavy environment
• Experience operating Tier-0 or highly critical infrastructure
• Experience leading technical strategy, architecture, and deliverables for large-scale projects
• Experience navigating complex regulatory requirements and translating them into engineering solutions
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
• Must be based in the USA
