Design, write, test, and use computer code to build and maintain sub-models representing cellular, molecular, and biochemical processes
Represent compound pharmacodynamics and/or mechanism of action by translating laboratory data into model parameters and curating clinical data for calibration and validation
Learn and effectively utilize company agentic AI solutions for technical work
Lead or contribute to consulting project activities and deliverables
Contribute to R&D efforts, including license-ready model updates and QST model development for liver injury
Combine systems pharmacology modeling, software code development, project management, and software maintenance
Develop task and deliverable plans aligned with sponsor service agreements
Identify project risks and suggest mitigation strategies
Schedule meetings with internal and external collaborators
Lead report and presentation preparation with minimal supervision
Lead consulting projects after demonstrating required technical and project management skills
Initiate departmental activities supporting QSP team growth and efficiency
Participate in joint manuscript preparation and review
Manage project effort within contracted resource allocations
Publish work in scientific journals, including documentation, text, figures, and editor/peer-reviewer correspondence
Oversee and supervise technical work and mentor less experienced scientists
Train others on QSP/QST and related models
Perform other duties as assigned

5+ years of QSP/QST modeling experience or demonstration of equivalent skill sets
Proficiency in mathematics, dynamic systems, drug development, and pharmacology
General knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas, including clinical endpoints and underlying cell and molecular biology and/or biochemistry
Experience with MATLAB, THALES, Julia, SimBiology, Monolix, GastroPlus™, and/or C++ programming
Experience with PBPK, PK, popPK and/or PKPD modeling
Basic familiarity with large-language models and agentic AI
Ability to apply modeling and simulation for maximum impact and communicate effectively to non-modeling audiences
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and strong organizational skills
Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
Occasional travel for conferences, meetings, and training
Master’s degree in pharmaceutical science, biomedical engineering, or related life sciences field required
PhD in pharmaceutical science, biomedical engineering, or related life sciences field preferred
