Senior Recruiter – Leadership, Professional Search

Job Description:

• Translate client hiring requirements into practical recruiting and sourcing plans.
• Find and engage candidates through direct outreach, professional networks, referrals, and recruiting platforms.
• Conduct screening interviews and assess relevant experience, qualifications, and interest.
• Prepare candidate summaries and present qualified applicants.
• Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and maintain candidate communication.
• Track recruiting activity and keep candidate records current.
• Provide timely updates on pipeline progress and recruiting challenges.
• Support reference checks, offer coordination, and placement follow-through as assigned.
• Collaborate with AlphaGov’s search leads and project team.

Requirements:

• Experience recruiting professional, management, leadership, or specialized talent.
• Ability to engage candidates who are not actively seeking a new position.
• Strong interviewing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and follow through with candidates and colleagues.
• Careful handling of confidential information.
• Government, public-sector, nonprofit, or higher-education recruiting preferred.
• Executive, director-level, or hard-to-fill professional placements preferred.
• Full-cycle recruiting and direct client or hiring-manager interaction preferred.
• Experience managing multiple searches preferred.
• Agency recruiters, in-house recruiters, RPO professionals, independent recruiters, and executive search associates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in every listed industry or function is not required.
