Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

• Serve as the accounting liaison for Viatris Total R&D functions
• Provide forecasting, reporting, planning, budgeting, and analysis for R&D, Regulatory, PSRM, and Medical Affairs functions
• Prepare and review monthly forecast reports across global operations functions and regions
• Meet with functional heads, Medical Directors, and Clinical Leads to discuss forecast-impacting deliverables and events
• Present monthly KPI metrics for functional groups, including Opex, Capex, and Headcount
• Lead monthly status meetings for ongoing projects
• Review significant contracts associated with R&D and functional projects
• Verify timelines and costs, monitor CRO vendor performance, and adjust forecasts based on contract schedules
• Compile and maintain forecasts of major R&D program spending
• Compare product plans year over year and quarter over quarter
• Lead preparation of strategic plans and annual budgets with R&D Leadership
• Compile strategic plan and annual budget data and present departmental and consolidated summaries
• Prepare financial data summaries and narratives for R&D Leadership, senior functional leadership, and Scientific Affairs Finance
• Assist the Director of Scientific Affairs with financial analysis of future projects, programs, and Total R&D business plans

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required
• Specialization in Finance or Accounting; a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration
• 4 years’ experience in Operations Finance or Similar FP&A Role required
• Ability to perform forecasting, reporting, planning, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Experience preparing and reviewing monthly forecast reports
• Experience presenting KPI metrics, including Opex, Capex, and Headcount
• Experience reviewing contracts and monitoring vendor performance
• Experience preparing strategic plans and annual budgets
• Experience analyzing future projects, programs, and business plans
