Senior Commercial Loan Officer

Job Description:

• Manage, grow, and execute business development activities and maintain pipeline statistics
• Generate annual commercial real estate loan production as agreed by management
• Develop and maintain production strategies to enhance Golden 1 Business Services’ market position and achieve production goals
• Mentor and lead business loan officers and support staff in loan processes and member service best practices
• Build relationships with California businesses to deliver exceptional member service, loan quality, and loan retention
• Develop and execute strategies to attract new clients through cold calling, industry events, and existing relationships
• Support business lending operations and identify and minimize risk
• Support credit/underwriting and portfolio needs by requesting additional information for loan closing and portfolio maintenance
• Identify, investigate, and resolve member, branch, and online concerns related to business services production
• Implement risk mitigation strategies, including regular portfolio reviews and updated credit files
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field required
• Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
• 8+ years commercial banking and commercial loan origination experience required
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance, including BSA, AML, TILA, HMDA, GLBA, and Fair Lending
• Ability to satisfy background screening requirements of the Federal Credit Union Act
• Ability to work with applicable policies, guidelines, and procedures for risk mitigation and compliance
