Senior Analyst, Business Analysis

Job Description:

• Design report solutions translating business and client needs into systems supporting client requirements
• Work with executive stakeholders, clients, and operations teams to translate business objectives and workflow changes into standard and custom reporting
• Serve as data and reporting owner for multiple clients
• Manage the backlog and prioritize enhancements and issue resolution using Agile methodologies such as JIRA
• Develop requirements with a solutions-oriented perspective and recommendations
• Oversee program and report implementation and data ingestion
• Use dashboards and queries for early alerting of issues
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of data used in reporting and analytical tools
• Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple business units
• Interpret business requirements from clients
• Communicate updates, progress, and results to stakeholders and leadership

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data-focused Product Owner, with exposure to data governance and quality initiatives
• SQL proficiency, including writing queries for investigation, root cause analysis, and defining reporting logic
• 1 to 4 years of stakeholder management experience
• Ability to elicit, document, and manage requirements with traceability through development and final validation
• Ability to build and sustain strong relationships as a trusted data advisor
• Ability to learn systems and data structures quickly for technical troubleshooting and resolution
• Ability to prioritize competing work based on business and client needs and explain prioritization decisions
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with file transfer, file structure, and related tools such as Move It
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake
• Experience with data analytics programs such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI
• Proficiency in Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA
• Bachelor's degree preferred, specialized training, or relevant professional qualification
• Preferred: 3 to 5 years of healthcare experience, including claims data formats, risk adjustment methodologies, and member eligibility/enrollment
• Preferred: prior project management experience
• Ability to solve complex technical problems by tracing data from generation and ingestion through systems and reporting
