Sales Development Specialist

Job Description:

• Support management team members and executives as needed
• Perform administrative duties for the sales team, including meeting or conference planning and preparation
• Assist the Inside Sales team with data reports and sales guides
• Monitor sales performance through sales tracking tools and report progress to the Inside Sales team
• Attend virtual and in-person meetings and respond to emails to assist all territories within the region
• Meet with senior leaders to provide updates on strategic deliverables and insights into client trends
• Coordinate sales metric reports for productivity and key performance metrics
• Draft presentations and reports for the sales team
• Respond to customer requests via email, phone, social media, and chat
• Provide customer service by managing pending orders and customer requests
• Identify opportunities for sales performance and sales process improvements
• Prepare content and identify marketing and sales opportunities for social media platforms
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience required
• Proven work experience as a Sales Support Specialist
• Railroad, Construction, or other related industry experience, preferred
• Railroad Industry marketing experience, preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Active listener and ability to adapt quickly to various customer needs
• Analytical and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Time management and organization skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and social media platforms
• Ability to interpret sales metrics and perform data entry
