Registered Nurse - Surgical Services

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:30 - 19:55), with the option of 4x10 hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Surgical Services will provide comprehensive nursing care, proficient in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedic/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology surgeries. The role requires 3 years of experience in scrubbing and circulating in the operating room (OR).

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room for surgical procedures.


• Assist in the scrubbing and circulating roles during surgeries.


• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


• Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments and sponges.


• Respond to emergency situations effectively and efficiently.


• Participate in kidney call rotations as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.


• Certification as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) preferred.


• Minimum of 3 years scrubbing and circulating experience in the OR.


• Experience with various surgical specialties including robotic and bariatric surgeries.
