Production Operator | Pannawonica, Pilbara | 8/6 And 7/7 Fifo

About the Role

Rio Tinto is hiring experienced Production Operators for its iron ore mining operations around Pannawonica in the Pilbara. These are permanent FIFO positions on an 8/6/7/7 roster, meaning 8 days on and 6 off, then 7 nights on and 7 off. You can fly to site directly from Perth, Busselton or Broome. Rio Tinto says it particularly welcomes applications from women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating large production loaders and diggers such as the EX3600, EX5600, LT1850/2350, CAT 994 and WA1200


• Operating D10 and D11 dozers in an open cut production environment


• Moving iron ore safely for processing and shipping


• Sharing your skills and helping upskill other team members

About You

• Experience operating large scale equipment in an open cut production environment


• A full manual C class driver's licence


• A strong commitment to safety for yourself and your team


• Emergency response team experience is an advantage but not essential


• Permanent Australian residency without the need for visa sponsorship
