Personal Lines Risk Solutions Consultant

Job Description:

• Perform on-site policyholder home inspections to evaluate risk and recommend services and solutions to mitigate risk
• Consult with policyholders on proactive home maintenance, disaster preparedness, security, and loss mitigation aids
• Identify cross-sell opportunities for additional coverages such as Marine and Auto
• Participate in innovation pilots with the Personal Lines Product team
• Support risk management content generation by the Personal Lines Marketing team
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Risk Solutions home office technical and field teams, Personal Lines Product, Personal Lines Claims, and Personal Lines Marketing
• Participate in association and industry relations activities, including attending meetings and conferences representing the company
• Provide risk solutions support to Hanover’s Personal Lines division for Prestige clients

Requirements:

• At least 4 years Risk Solutions/Loss Control field experience with a personal lines national/regional insurance carrier
• Motivated self-starter with demonstrated initiative; ability to work independently
• Knowledge of building construction, homeowner, and marine insurance coverages, underwriting and claims
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Aptitude for numerical and/or financial evaluation of business performance
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment on multiple projects, tasks, or assignments
• Results orientation
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Frequent travel within Connecticut and Massachusetts
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate homeowner schedules
