Patient Enrollment Specialist – Medicare

Job Description:

• Serve as the first person new Mira Mace patients speak with
• Call new signups back quickly and answer return calls from patients
• Learn about patients’ healthcare needs and explain how Mira Mace’s care works and how Medicare covers it
• Book patients’ first doctor visits during the call
• Listen, confirm Medicare and plan details, explain services in plain language, and secure a booked visit
• Follow up by phone and text with patients who did not answer or were not ready
• Document every conversation in the platform
• Flag urgent needs to the care team
• Work approximately six hours daily on patient phone conversations

Requirements:

• Active LPN/LVN or RN license, or Community Health Worker (CHW) certification, or 2+ years speaking directly with patients or health-plan members
• Located in the United States
• Working knowledge of Medicare, including Original Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage, Part B, and supplemental plans
• Comfort with a high volume of phone conversations, measured on booked visits rather than calls made
• Reliable computer and internet connection
• Quiet, private space for patient calls and handling protected health information
• Preferred: experience in a healthcare call center, patient access, or enrollment role
• Preferred: familiarity with Medicaid and other public programs
• Preferred: bilingual Spanish or another language common among Medicare patients
