Open Pit Mine Surveyor | Sunrise Dam Near Laverton | 8/6 Fifo

About the Role

AngloGold Ashanti Australia is looking for an Open Pit Mine Surveyor at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine near Laverton in Western Australia. The position is permanent on an 8/6 roster, with flights provided to Perth and/or Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Surveying, you will coordinate and deliver the surface survey data and services the operation relies on.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver all survey services needed for the weekly mining plan with minimal disruption


• Provide updated spatial data as the pit advances to support budgets and planning


• Make sure survey work is safe, accurate and on time


• Help build capability across the survey team


• Work with the Tropicana team, contractors and the regional business

About You

• Degree or advanced diploma in mine surveying


• Two or more years in open pit mining preferred


• Experience with drone survey systems preferred


• Authorised mine surveyor certificate (grade 2), or working towards it, preferred


• Strong surveying software skills, ideally Deswik and MDM


• Manual licence, 4WD capable, and a National Police Clearance


• Permanent Australian work rights
