Managing Consultant

Job Description:

• Lead and manage execution of consulting engagements, delivering high-quality outcomes on time and on budget
• Engage regularly with client counterparts and identify when scope or budget realignment is needed
• Produce clear plans, schedules, and timescales using appropriate analytical tools
• Manage activities according to project plans and workstream interdependencies
• Independently lead delivery in small teams with minimal oversight
• Lead complex workstreams within larger projects
• Manage personal and consultants’ deliverables for quality and timely delivery
• Act as a primary internal and external contact for a team or function
• Maintain significant client contact at process-owner level
• Plan and facilitate significant meetings
• Build and maintain high-value client relationships as a trusted advisor
• Identify follow-on work and new client opportunities
• Contribute technical content to proposals, client pitches, and thought leadership
• Assist new team members in acclimatizing to ELIQUENT
• Manage and mentor consultants and senior consultants
• Contribute to tools and methodologies and participate in end-of-project learning events

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences, engineering, business, or a related field
• Typically, a minimum of 7 years relevant experience with a blend of practical industry (PV functional) and consulting (professional services) experience
• Demonstrated experience working in a complex (multi-stream) project environment with a defined governance structure, including as a workstream lead
• Previous leadership experience
• Ability to work equally well both independently and semi-independently based on needs of client and delivery model
• Ability to work steadily in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment
• Clear and compelling verbal and written communication skills
• Capability to understand and appreciate detail in the context of the client's business
• Ability to understand complex issues and break them down into key elements
• Understanding of industry regulations and how the client's business competes in their industry/sector
• Experience building and maintaining complex project plans and managing activities in line with the plan
• Advanced understanding of data gathering techniques and analytical ability
• Ability to keep up with all aspects of time and expense reporting in a timely manner
