Assist the Broker in developing, managing, and sustaining profitable business
Manage a broker’s book of business in-house
Conduct initial risk assessments to secure appropriate coverage and place it in the right market
Provide customer service and resolve client inquiries
Process routine and complex transactions accurately
Collaborate with brokers on service and strategic market placement for commercial accounts
Evaluate submissions and identify exposures and coverage requirements
Analyze risks and strategically place them with optimal carriers
Determine suitable insurance markets, secure quotes, and manage placement
Analyze and negotiate quote terms and explain quote details to brokers
Generate leads through outbound calls and analyze online and phone quote activity
Drive revenue growth of a personal book of business through assigned sales targets
Liaise with retail agencies, brokerage firms, insurance markets, and retail brokers
Maintain necessary policy and account documentation
Participate in educational courses, professional designations, and licensing programs

Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of work experience in Wholesale Brokerage, Commercial Insurance Sales or Underwriting with a Bachelor’s degree
State P&C and/or surplus line license required
Knowledge of commercial insurance coverages
Ability to evaluate submissions from retail insurance brokers and identify exposures and required coverage
Ability to analyze risk exposures and coverage needs
Ability to determine suitable insurance markets and manage the placement process
Ability to analyze and negotiate quote terms for coverage and pricing
Ability to provide effective customer service and communication
Master’s degree preferred; Business Administration, Sales, and Risk Management preferred
3 years of work experience with a Master’s degree is preferred
