Heavy Diesel Technician | Olympic Dam | 14/14 Fifo

About the Role

Emeco is hiring a Heavy Diesel Technician for its crew at Olympic Dam in South Australia. The roster is 2:2, made up of seven days and seven nights followed by 14 days off, and flights, camp accommodation and meals are provided. The site is about an hour's flight from Adelaide. Full-time and casual options are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on a mixed mining fleet, including CAT 992 loaders, 785C haul trucks, 14M and 16M graders, D10T dozers, Komatsu PC2000 excavators, Atlas Copco T45 drills and Scania road trains


• Diagnose faults and complete major repairs


• Keep equipment available, reliable and ready for production


• Work safely and take pride in the quality of every job

About You

• Heavy diesel trade qualification (Cert III)


• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills


• Experience on heavy earthmoving equipment, with mining experience highly regarded


• A safety first mindset


• Able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and police check


• Full Australian working rights

• $146,000 to $180,000 a year, depending on experience
