Head of Product

Job Description:

• Own Sharp Performance's product vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Build a product that first responders want to open every day
• Transition product management from founder-led to a disciplined, customer-driven function
• Balance consumer-grade product craft with the realities of selling to agencies
• Conduct field research with cops and firefighters at stations, academies, and ride-alongs
• Turn customer observations into prioritized product-building signals
• Define outcomes and metrics measuring whether the product extends users' service life
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, and the coaching team
• Evaluate architecture and effort with engineering
• Align the roadmap with market and user needs
• Start as a hands-on player-coach, then hire, coach, and develop the product team

Requirements:

• Led the development of more than one product through real, high growth
• Built products for business buyers while maintaining the craft bar of a great consumer product
• Technical fluency sufficient to hold detailed conversations with engineering and earn their respect
• Customer obsession and willingness to spend time in the field with cops and firefighters
• Backbone to tell the CEO no when data supports it and bring a better option
• Range from strategy to hands-on execution in an early-stage, fast-moving company
• Experience in public safety, govtech, digital health, or human performance is a strong plus, not a requirement
