Role

Blitzy is hiring a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join the Pune HQ2 team, working at the intersection of AI and enterprise software. You will embed with customer engineering teams to write production code, design architectures, debug integrations, and help customers adopt Blitzy’s autonomous software development platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy Blitzy into complex enterprise environments and translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Embed with customer teams for sprint planning, architecture reviews, technical decisions, and production deployments.
• Build production-quality services and integrations using Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.x (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Actuator).
• Design and evolve REST APIs using a contract-first approach with OpenAPI/Swagger; persist data with PostgreSQL, Hibernate/JPA, and Liquibase.
• Package and deploy containerized services with Docker; manage builds and dependencies with Maven (including BOMs and multi-module projects).
• Maintain testing, code quality, performance, and observability using JUnit 5, Cucumber/Gherkin, JMeter, Git, Logback/SLF4J, SpotBugs, and SonarQube.
• Debug complex issues across customer infrastructure, integrations, microservices, and the Blitzy platform; support production operations and monitoring.
• Drive POCs and technical demos, identify recurring customer needs and product expansion opportunities, and feed field insights back into the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience; currently a Lead SWE, Software Architect, or Forward Deployed Engineer with a track record of shipping production code in enterprise environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.x plus related Spring projects (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security) and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Maven, Docker, and modern testing practices (JUnit 5, Cucumber/Gherkin, JMeter).
• Experience building and operating microservices with CI/CD, cloud architecture, observability, and production monitoring (Micrometer, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Knowledge of distributed systems and enterprise modernization (Java 8→17 upgrades, monolith→microservices migrations, Kafka, Avro, Schema Registry, caching, resilience patterns).
• Strong communication skills, experience with Agile/Scrum, and customer-facing engineering experience.
• Passion for AI-powered software development and willingness to work in-person from Pune, India, with overlap for US-based teams.

Location & Employment

• This is a full-time position based in Pune (Pune HQ2). High performers may have opportunities to visit the Cambridge, MA headquarters and transition into core product or platform roles.
