Field Engineer Intern

Job Description:

• Complete health and safety training
• Learn the fundamentals of FieldCore Turbine and Generator products under the guidance of experienced Field supervisors, Engineers, and TFAs
• Assist with engineering projects of varying sizes and scope under direct supervision
• Develop skills using FieldCore web-based applications
• Learn basic technical skills and perform site work with direct instruction and supervision
• Learn project management, scheduling, resource loading, and cost control to support the Field Team during major overhauls
• Assist the SM and Field Engineers in planning jobs, expediting shop repair activities, and facilitating critical parts orders
• Assist the Service Manager with research and simplification projects
• Provide remote and on-site support and communications to the FieldCore team
• Provide general technical and administrative assistance to the Operations team
• Receive customer calls
• Expedite short-notice purchasing and shipping for overhaul jobs
• Organize activities and logistics
• Perform other duties supporting FieldCore’s vision and organizational values

Requirements:

• Students in major of Engineering (Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Software, Systems)
• Open to current students who will be returning to their in-class studies upon the completion of the work term
• Exceptional communication, planning, technical and people skills
• Commitment to environmental health and safety
• Able to work in a team environment and cooperate with fellow workers
