Director, Nurse Informatics – Technology

Job Description:

• Direct corporate strategy for translating clinical user needs into robust IT solutions
• Bridge clinical practice and technology to align systems with clinical workflows
• Enhance direct patient care and improve population-level health outcomes across DaVita’s healthcare ecosystem
• Provide direct people leadership, strategic mentorship, and operational oversight to Nurse Informaticists
• Drive clinical process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead enterprise-wide clinical change management strategies
• Serve as the designated clinical SME and strategic consultant for the CMIO
• Represent the CMIO across executive forums, cross-functional committees, and working groups
• Translate clinical objectives into scalable IT solutions
• Elicit detailed functional and workflow requirements from stakeholders
• Facilitate stakeholder sessions to identify operational challenges and architect evidence-based IT solutions
• Provide clinical governance and hands-on expertise for urgent, high-impact technology initiatives
• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to standardize care delivery, documentation workflows, care efficiency, clinical quality, cost optimization, and patient/caregiver satisfaction
• Perform additional responsibilities and strategic projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Direct leadership, coaching, talent development, and oversight experience for Nurse Informaticists
• Clinical domain expertise
• Experience with clinical process innovation and continuous improvement
• Experience with enterprise-wide clinical change management
• Ability to serve as a clinical subject matter expert and strategic consultant
• Ability to elicit functional and workflow requirements from clinical, operational, product, UX, and executive stakeholders
• Knowledge of structured performance improvement methodologies
• Ability to translate clinical objectives into scalable IT solutions
• Ability to lead urgent, high-impact, clinically focused technology initiatives
• Experience collaborating with clinical and operational business leaders across healthcare lanes
