Data Intern – Product Analytics

Job Description:

• Partner with Product Analytics and Data Science team members and product partners to define questions, success metrics, and measurement plans
• Analyze product usage and telemetry data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Communicate findings through written analyses, presentations, and recommendations for product and cross-functional teams
• Build or improve dashboards, reports, and self-serve analyses using SQL, Looker, Amplitude, and Hex
• Support data quality and telemetry validation to ensure product data is reliable and well understood

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled at an educational institution (e.g. college, university, bootcamp)
• Must live in and be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
• Confidence: A willingness to take on new challenges, and see them through to completion
• Humility: You're not afraid to ask "stupid" questions and make mistakes (as long as you learn from them)
• Curiosity: You look for better ways of doing things
• Teamwork: We work together, and succeed as a team
• Basic familiarity with machine learning or advanced statistical methods is a bonus
• Working knowledge of SQL is a bonus
• Experience with Python or R for analysis is a bonus
• Familiarity with product analytics or BI tools such as Amplitude, Looker, or Hex is a bonus
• Coursework or experience in statistics, experimentation, or A/B testing is a bonus
• Successful applicants must complete a background check
