Cortex Domain Consultant

Job Description:

• Collaborate with account teams to recommend and develop customer solutions within the assigned specialization area
• Present to customers as the technical expert from practitioner to senior leadership levels
• Serve as the main technical point of contact for Cortex and collaborate on RFIs/RFPs
• Lead and support customer demonstrations
• Scope and lead Proof of Value projects for prospective customers and partners
• Drive technical validation and Proof of Value win rates
• Discuss product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation
• Architect solutions to strengthen and simplify customers’ security posture
• Document High-Level Design and Key Use Cases for implementation and value realization
• Help customers build and develop services around Cortex solutions
• Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging security landscape changes
• Discuss competitive offers and position Palo Alto Networks’ solutions as the best alternative
• Position Palo Alto Networks or partner-delivered services for proper implementation and value realization
• Initiate projects to improve team performance
• Implement organizational policies and help others adopt them
• Convey customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D to create requirements and deliver product features

Requirements:

• 6+ years experience in Security Operations or pre-sales/sales engineering within SIEM, SOAR, SOC, and/or XDR/EDR environments
• IBM QRadar design, deployment, and/or pre-sales experience highly desirable
• Experience working with customers
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
• Solid understanding of Security Operations Center processes
• Advanced knowledge of SIEM and/or SOAR solutions
• Scripting experience is a plus; Python preferred
• Proficient in English
• Ability to support a field sales position where travel may be required for in-person customer meetings
