Business Coach and Consultant, Exit Strategy

Job Description:

• Develop relationships with business owners throughout Chicagoland, focusing on the west and southwest suburbs
• Build referral partnerships with CPAs, attorneys, bankers, and financial advisors
• Participate in networking and community events
• Generate and qualify consulting opportunities
• Assess business readiness and value drivers
• Facilitate strategic consulting sessions
• Lead mastermind-style group learning sessions
• Guide clients through exit-planning discussions
• Serve as a trusted advisor and relationship manager
• Engage with new leads, convert them to clients, and work with clients in one-to-one sessions
• Help small and mid-sized businesses increase profit, efficiency, and company value to prepare for sale

Requirements:

• Must be located in the west or southwest suburbs of Chicago
• Preferred related experience: personal exit or sale experience, previous business consulting/coaching, and related exit strategy or M&A experience
• Computer proficiency, including conducting Zoom presentation meetings
• Some experience in a customer-facing role or strong interest in customer interaction
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, particularly strong phone skills
• Enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and business
• Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, driven, competitive, committed to accomplishing objectives, and opportunistic
• Time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and Zoom, or ability to learn these systems
• Ability to work as an independent 1099 contractor
