Belt Splicer | Wa Iron Ore Sites Ex Perth | 8/6, 7/7 Or 2/2 Fifo

About the Role

BHP Operations Services is recruiting Belt Splicers for its Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) Conveyor Field Services team. You will fly in fly out from Perth on an 8/6 and 7/7 roster or a 2/2 roster, and travel between six WAIO sites and assets as part of a field service crew. The work covers both routine weekly maintenance and shutdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out conveyor belt change outs


• Repair conveyor belts and respond to breakdowns


• Complete belt preparation and flaking


• Work across weekly maintenance and shutdown programs


• Travel between BHP's Pilbara iron ore sites with the field services team

About You

• Recent conveyor belt repair and maintenance experience (essential)


• A Certificate III in Polymer Processing as a qualified belt splicer is preferred


• High risk work licences for dogging, forklift and rigging are preferred


• A strong work ethic and a team first attitude


• Able to pass BHP's checks, which can include a medical, drug and alcohol test, police check and right to work check
