Auto Market Development Manager, CPA

Job Description:

• Lead and execute CPA’s Automotive growth strategy
• Drive pipeline management across Sellers, Business Managers, and strategic suppliers
• Train Sellers on product introductions, supply strategy priorities, and Automotive market opportunities
• Jointly engage target accounts with strategic supplier partners
• Develop and execute Automotive business strategy with Business Managers
• Provide market intelligence and competitive insights
• Support field sales in identifying, developing, and closing high-value Automotive opportunities
• Engage directly with customers and participate in joint visits
• Match supplier capabilities, product solutions, and technical resources with customer needs
• Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline with opportunity status, next steps, and forecasted growth
• Develop territory-level Automotive business plans
• Increase exposure and adoption of CPA brands
• Collaborate with Marketing on Automotive marketing initiatives, trade shows, promotional campaigns, and customer-facing materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or related training; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
• Proven experience in selling, brand management and strategy development in polymers preferred
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Proficiency in English required
• Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Proactive approach to establishing positive relationships with internal and external team members
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
• Strategic ability and well-developed commercial acumen
• Ability to work in a shared space with constant noise, with or without a private office
• Ability to communicate verbally, read, comprehend information, and type consistently and daily
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs weekly
• Ability to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other transportation
• Ability to set up desk equipment, including connecting cables and power cords
