Associate Attorney, Workers' Compensation

Job Description:

• Manage a docket of workers' compensation cases through resolution
• Prepare clients for depositions
• Attend depositions
• Invoice depositions
• Respond to client inquiries requiring attorney negotiations and move matters toward resolution
• Respond to incoming emails and phone calls
• Provide direction and guidance to non-attorneys as needed
• Bring positivity to the workplace and lead non-attorneys by example
• Participate in team events during and after work hours
• Provide feedback to management to support client service improvements
• Report directly to an assigned Senior Associate
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff

Requirements:

• Candidates MUST be California State Barred
• Candidates must reside in the state of California
• Candidates must be in good standing with the California State Bar
• Newly barred attorneys or attorneys who have taken the February 2025 Bar are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable with fast-paced work environments
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Doctors' deposition experience (preferred)
• Must be able to manage workers' compensation cases
• Must be able to prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions
• Must be able to respond to client inquiries requiring attorney negotiations
• Must be able to provide direction and guidance to non-attorneys
