Associate Account Manager

Job Description:

• Proactively maintain and retain relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste-service customers
• Make outbound and receive inbound calls to retain business with smaller, less complex customers
• Increase customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products
• Develop and maintain knowledge of services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers
• Perform contractual re-signs to extend customer relationships and increase profitability
• Respond to cancellation requests according to the established escalation policy
• Communicate with customers regarding company pricing initiatives
• Use Salesforce daily to schedule and document calls, meetings, and proposals
• Capture customer emails and minimize rate restrictions and customer credits
• Meet regularly with the Sales Manager to review retention activities, progress against goals, and key customer relationships
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. (Required)
• 0–2 years of customer service experience (Required)
• Waste or transportation industry experience (Preferred)
• Proficiency using Salesforce daily
• Ability to make outbound and receive inbound customer calls
• Knowledge of available services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers
• Ability to perform contractual re-signs and respond to cancellation requests
• Ability to capture customer emails, minimize rate restrictions and customer credits
• Ability to sell the full suite of Republic Services products
