Accountant

Job Description:

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries for assigned companies and general ledger accounts timely and accurately
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Summarize financial status by collecting information, preparing financial statements and other reports, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and year-end deadlines are met
• Prepare federal, state, and local reports, including annual and monthly sales tax returns
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls
• Perform other general ledger activities as assigned
• Reconcile balances of assigned asset and liability accounts
• Identify and analyze significant fluctuations in asset and liability account balances to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
• Prepare annual audit schedules for external auditors
• Assist with accounting projects, including expense allocations, leased property, and reporting activities

Requirements:

• 3 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in finance field
